Job description

Location:  Remote - Southwestern (California, Arizona, Nevada) United States


Overview:

The Sales Engineer – VRF / Commercial will have the opportunity to develop and grow applied channel partnerships within the Southwestern (California, Arizona, Nevada) United States. This strategic sales engineer will work collaboratively across the sales organization and with our Applied Rep Agency to launch this market and spearhead business expansion in the area. We are looking for a builder, someone driven to maximize profits and increase market share and customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Build strong relationships with specifying rep firms, channel partners, engineering firms, contractors, owners, architects, and key influencers in the region to understand market needs and trends
  • Drive growth of our VRF and commercial/light commercial equipment sales through the applied representative channel and achieve regional sales and margin targets
  • Provide VRF engineering and design support for reps, contractors, engineers and product owners to design, bid, and specify projects with Hisense equipment
  • Understand market and customer needs and coordinate with internal teams (product, service, training, applications) to develop the channel and solve problems
  • Provide voice of the customer/market insight to optimize product and service offering and value proposition to the region
  • Qualify channel opportunities and manage the opportunity pipeline to ensure forecast accuracy and inventory availability
  • Represent brand at industry events, growing our brand reputation and deepening existing relationships while building new ones


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; Engineering background or PE preferred
  • 3+ years of progressive responsibility in sales, sales leadership, applied rep management, and/or large account management with a proven track record of growth and handling potentially large and/or complex commercial projects
  • Ability to travel within the regional market and up to 20% within the United States
  • Significant expertise in Commercial Air Conditioning industry with preferred experience in VRF space
  • Expert at relationship building and the business planning, bid, and project specification process with Rep Firms
  • Expert at in-person and remote presentations with the ability to inspire, persuade, and motivate others
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently while supporting key business and leadership objectives
  • Demonstrated collaboration with functional departments as necessary (pricing, product, logistics, marketing, service, etc.)
  • Sales, Operational, and technical knowledge of VRF and Commercial HVAC products and services and the ability to train others
  • Skilled at developing growth strategies and measuring results
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to determine true opportunity cost and present the total lifetime cost of ownership for equipment and services
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office tools, such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams
