Job Title: Shopify Front-End Developer
Location: Remote (EST Time zone)
Salary Range: Up to $2,500 USD
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM EST

Client Overview:

Sagan represents a company that is a leader in the fire protection industry, dedicated to providing high-quality products and services. We are looking for a talented Web Developer with a strong eCommerce background to join our dynamic team. This role requires someone who can communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Position Overview:
The Web Developer will work closely with our Website and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Lead to develop, implement, and prioritize web development projects. You will play a crucial role in enhancing QRFS.com based on Statements of Work (SOWs) and other presented issues. Your focus will be on supporting conversion testing, user experience improvements, and troubleshooting website issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and review code in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (jQuery, React).
• Develop and maintain BigCommerce themes, templates, and APIs.
• Implement and manage WordPress and Laravel applications.
• Utilize performance and web optimization tools (PageSpeed Insights, MS Clarity).
• Ensure adherence to UI/UX principles in all web development projects.
• Collaborate with the CRO Lead to generate detailed proposals and project plans.
• Execute prioritized development efforts supporting conversion testing and user experience improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues promptly.
• Provide insights and help prioritize web development projects.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a web developer with a strong eCommerce background.
• Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (jQuery, React).
• Experience with BigCommerce themes, templates, and APIs.
• Familiarity with WordPress, Laravel, and DigitalOcean (preferred).
• Knowledge of performance and web optimization tools (PageSpeed Insights, MS Clarity).
• Demonstrated familiarity with UI/UX principles.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), specifically A/B testing.
• Familiarity with VWO and other CRO tools.
• Experience working in startup environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Experience with task management platforms (ClickUp, Jira, etc.).
• Experience working within a budget.
• Willingness to understand the fire protection industry.
• Self-motivated and prepared to learn new things.
