As a Senior Pricing and Commercial Operations Specialist Vision Care Europe you will be responsible to analyze and optimize Pricing and Promotions in VC Europe and she/he contributes to the consistent implementation of commercial strategy/actions across the VC Europe Franchise.
In this role, a typical day will include:
The Senior Pricing and Commercial Operations Specialists Vision Care Europe focuses on two areas:
- Pricing & Promotions
Monitors, analyses Internal and external pricing data to understand competitive situation for VC Europe
Analyses impact of promotions on Sales, profitability and share gain
Derives action recommendations for pricing/promotions to optimize for profitability and market share gains
Derives best practices and drives dissemination
Prepares/supports annual country price and trade terms reviews in conjunction with Region and Intl. Pricing
Promotion Pricing Pre-Approval check (e-thumb)
Consolidates country feedback on pricing tools for International
- Consistent Commercial Operations Execution
Performs bi-annual Private Label contract reviews to ensure minimum volume and pricing thresholds are met
Coordinate Discontinuation/Portfolio clean ups in VC Europe
Supports both the Region and countries with analyses, in which different data types (e.g. market, financial, pricing, commercial execution data) need to be combined to prepare decision making and action taking
Coordination of continuous communication and follow up on regional Incentive schemes
Execution of Sales Force Excellence Reviews with countries
This role works closely with VC Europe Finance, Regional Commercial Excellence Team, country organizations as well as International Pricing Team.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
Education: University Degree or equivalent; ideally Finance or MBA
Languages: Fluency in English and one other European language
Experience / Professional requirement:
> 3 years background in Pricing or Commercial Operations
combined with strong business acumen and analytical skills
Strong project management skills
Experience in OTC / medical device is an advantage
Experienced in working across functions and matrix organizations, strong ability in building and maintaining effective working relationships with variety of people
Versatile with SAP, Sales Force, Foresight, BI, etc
Outstanding communication skills, especially when working remotely across region
High level of self-motivation as line manager as well as partners (local country organizations, Commercial Operations etc) are not necessarily on site
