We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Marketing Coordinator, Accounting & Budgeting to join our Marketing team in Langley, BC.  

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for handling tasks related to accounting and finances for the Marketing department, including monitoring budgets, vendor management, PO reconciliation and financial planning.

You will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining PeopleSoft Financials to process marketing requisitions and generate purchase orders.

  • Reviewing, resolving discrepancies and issues, and processing supplier invoices and payment requests related to marketing projects.

  • Managing vendor accounts within account services and performing reconciliations, corresponding with vendors, and responding to inquiries.

  • Assisting with the financial monthly and year-end close, including reporting, vendor reconciliations, journal entries and period-end accruals.

  • Analyzing financial statements to provide insights into marketing spend, identifying trends and making recommendations for budget adjustments and cost-saving opportunities.

  • Performing and monitoring data input to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation.

  • Preparing forecasts and budget planning for marketing and project management.

  • Assisting in financial analysis and strategy development for media spending and banner marketing spend-to-sales ratio to ensure competitive share of voice.

  • Analyzing media spend, historical comparisons, and trends to support brand leads in managing their advertising.

  • Developing and improving reporting for executive presentations on spending and efficiencies for marketing leadership and brand managers through the budgeting process, period end, and PO management.

  • Supporting Retail Media/Shopper Marketing to capture new revenue and reconcile advertising expenses.

You have:

  • A diploma or degree in accounting or related work experience is preferred.

  • 3 or more years of accounting and budgeting experience.

  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials, financial budgeting, and advertising (considered an asset).

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, and knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbal with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Analytical with exceptional problem solving and decision-making skills.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Able to take initiative with the ability to prioritize accordingly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

This position is based at the Pattison Food Group office in Langley, B.C. While we’re currently operating with a hybrid work-from-home and in-office schedule, we look forward to the day when we are all able to work together in the office again.

Compensation Details:

$55,600.00 - $69,500.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
