What we are looking for...we are seeking a Collateral Management trader to join our Finance team and play a pivotal role in enhancing our trading and operational efficiency. The candidate will be overseeing collateral processes internally as well as liaising with external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and optimize the allocation of collateral across various trading activities, including derivatives, repo, and securities lending.
Monitor collateral positions and ensure sufficient collateral is available to meet margin requirements and settlement obligations.
Develop and implement strategies to manage collateral efficiently as well as maximize yield generation on assets.
Collaborate with trading, risk management, and operations teams to ensure seamless collateral management processes.
Conduct regular stress testing and scenario analysis to assess the impact of market movements on positions.
Maintain detailed records of transactions, positions, and performance metrics.
Background and experience
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Finance, Economics or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA) are a plus.
Proven experience (5+ years) in collateral management, securities lending, or a related role in financial markets.
Strong understanding of financial instruments and yield curve modeling
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
Strong risk management skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Python and experience with data analysis tools.
Competences and personality
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-cultural fintech environment.
Deep knowledge with regards to accounting principles and practices.
Excellent problem-solving and data analytical skills.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
