The Professional Services Cloud Subject Matter Expert (SME) at WEKA will be instrumental in leveraging their extensive cloud services and infrastructure expertise to guide customers through their journey with WEKA solutions. This role involves working closely with prospective and existing customers to optimize their data infrastructure, ensuring successful design and deployment of WEKA solutions in the cloud, and promoting cloud best practices throughout the organization.

Bring Your Expertise – and Your Passion:

  • Cloud Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as an Cloud SME for the WEKA Customer Success and Professional Services organizations.
  • Consultation and Optimization: Collaborate with customers to provide consulting services aimed at optimizing their data infrastructure.
  • Cloud Deployment: Design and deploy WEKA solutions for cloud customers, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Customer Success Promotion: Advocate for and implement cloud best practices to drive successful customer outcomes.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with customers and partners to better understand their needs and extend the reach of WEKA’s cloud solutions.
  • Customer Advocacy: Represent customer interests by providing prioritized feedback to the R&D and Product Management teams to shape WEKA's future cloud success.
  • Issue Troubleshooting: Actively participate in resolving field issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • WEKA Ecosystem Expertise: Become an expert in WEKA’s solutions and its broader ecosystem.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Cloud Expertise: Deep expertise in cloud services, ecosystems, and operations, with a strong understanding of cloud operating models.
  • Professional Services Experience: Experience working in customer facing roles delivering services, defining scope of works, validation tests, in complex multi-vendor projects.
  • Infrastructure experience: Proven experience with Linux, networking, and Devops Tools.
  • Migration Experience: Proven experience in migrating workflows from on-premises to cloud.
  • Storage Knowledge: Background in cloud storage workflows and challenges associated with large-scale data migration to public clouds.
  • Hybrid Models: Experience with hybrid operating models that integrate public cloud into overall workflows.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions with outstanding business acumen.
  • Consultative Team Value: Demonstrated ability to contribute positively to consultative multi-skilled teams of customers and partners.
  • Customer Orientation: Strong customer service orientation with a sense of initiative, positive attitude, and collaborative working style.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage a fast-paced environment and reprioritize tasks while maintaining focus on successful outcomes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Advantage: Experience with HPC storage and/or software-defined enterprise NAS platforms is advantageous.
  • Start-Up Experience: Prior experience working in a start-up environment is a plus.
  • Travel: Availability to travel internationally at least 50% of the time
