Summary:


In this role, you will be involved with complex clinical improvement projects as a member supporting a team of quality improvement specialists including physicians, nurses, hospital quality directors, analysts and others who work with hospitals on clinical quality improvement projects. You will have responsibility for the execution of clinical quality improvement projects with hospital members, in support of a Vizient project leader (i.e., Sr. Consulting Director, Consulting Director).

Responsibilities:

  • Use expertise to deliver member value on project consulting assignments. 
  • Work in collaboration with Vizient project leader, physician consultants, internal team members, and client hospital project engagement stakeholders to deploy established quality improvement strategies to achieve the deliverables of the engagement.
  • Work in conjunction with project teams using clinical data analysis, reviewing patient charts and observation of bedside patient care, all in support of the implementation of the targeted quality improvement initiatives.
  • Meet frequently with hospital project teams to review timeline, progress to date, and to update the direction of the engagement.
  • Research best medical practices related to the quality improvement science being used by the consulting teams.
  • Use knowledge gained from frequent review of best medical practice and experience gained from each hospital engagement to further Vizient’s strength in clinical quality improvement practice.
  • Support practice development through conference presentations and/or publications and assist in the development/launch/implementation of new products and services.
  • Support the extension of work at each Vizient Member facility through successful and timely completion of projects.
  • Use positive interpersonal skills at each Member facility to further improve the public impression of Vizient as a preferred consulting company.
  • Practice skills that are inclusive of all diversities, consistent with Vizient culture.


 Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience related to clinical quality improvement in a hospital setting required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of clinical metrics that affect CMS reimbursement such as readmissions, mortality, infection, PSI-90 etc. is preferred.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a hospital improvement project team.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $146,700.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
