SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The Compensation Analyst will partner closely with the Commercial leadership team to design, implement and manage variable compensation plans which incentivise and drive achievement of the commercial & strategic goals of the organisation.

They will act as a centre point between the commercial employees, finance & HR.

  • Drive strategic growth initiatives and commercial behaviours through design, development and management of variable compensation plans across EMEA.
  • Provide technical expertise and proactive guidance to monitor and maintain competitive positioning, and to advance and scale Merit’s compensation and programs to keep pace with the company's growth.
  • Work with commercial leaders to develop and manage variable commission agreements of third-party agents.
  • Develop and manage automated solutions to support calculation and payment of volume and growth rebates with Merit’s distribution partners.
  • Design efficient solutions for the calculation of Monthly and Quarterly bonus payments to the commercial teams using our in-house reporting tools.
  • Work with external consultants and professional industry organizations to understand and benchmark market practices.
  • Ensure employee incentives are easy to understand, calculate and automated wherever possible.
  • Manage the planning and design of the annual variable compensation and salary review process.
  • Work closely with HR and accounting to ensure consistency and accuracy in compensation payments.
  • Develop and communicate processes that underpin all aspects of our compensation programs.

Desired Experience:
Minimum 2-3+ years of significant experience in calculation and management of compensation programmes

  • Knowledge of compensation planning, incentive programs, and performance measurement.
  • Strong analytical skills and can demonstrate proficiency with MS Excel.
  • Experience in a financial accounting or business analyst role.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a cross functional environment.
  • Communicates complex compensation practices in simple to understand terms.
  • Data-driven and analytical mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information; strong ethics and integrity.
  • Self-starter and results focused.
  • Knowledge of the importance of variable compensation in driving behaviours.
  • Experienced in applying HR-related legal and compliance knowledge to various business scenarios.
  • Excellent planning, time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, organization, and interpersonal skills.

  • Qualification in accounting, data analytics or Human resources
