About the role:

We seek a dedicated and proactive Discord Moderator to join our dynamic team at Gnosis. As a Discord Moderator, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging community environment within our Gnosis Chain Discord server. You will be responsible for enforcing community guidelines, resolving conflicts, fostering positive interactions, and providing basic technical support to our community members. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about blockchain technology and community management, with sufficient technical expertise, to contribute to the growth and success of Gnosis Chain.


Responsibilities: 


  • Monitor and moderate conversations in our Discord server to ensure compliance with community guidelines, terms of service, and code of conduct.

  • Address and resolve conflicts, disputes, and inappropriate behavior among community members promptly and professionally.

  • Review and moderate user-generated content, including text messages, images, videos, and links, to maintain a safe and respectful community environment.

  • Field and respond to basic technical questions from community members related to Gnosis Chain, providing accurate information and guidance.

  • Identify and escalate more complex technical questions or issues to the appropriate internal teams, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with community members.

  • Actively engage with community members by answering questions, providing support, and fostering positive discussions.

  • Assist in organizing and facilitating community events, such as AMAs (Ask Me Anything), to encourage participation and engagement.

  • Stay up to date with the latest trends, developments, and best practices in community management, running a Gnosis Chain validator and web3 technologies, in general, to effectively moderate discussions and provide valuable insights.

  • Collaborate closely with the wider community management and marketing teams to align messaging, share insights, and contribute to community growth strategies.

  • Maintain accurate records of moderation actions, user reports, and community feedback to help improve moderation processes and policies.
Who you are

  • Prior experience as a Discord moderator or community manager is preferred, particularly within the web3 or cryptocurrency space. Familiarity with blockchain technology and decentralized applications (DApps) is highly desirable.

  • Sufficient technical knowledge to field basic technical questions and provide support related to Gnosis Chain. Ability to escalate more complex technical issues to the appropriate internal teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally in a diverse community setting.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and understanding when addressing community members’ concerns and resolving conflicts.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of taking the initiative to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.

  • A solid understanding of Discord server features, moderation tools, and best practices for community management is essential.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, work well under pressure, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Display a high level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism while dealing with sensitive user data and confidential information.

  • A genuine interest in web3 technologies, blockchain, cryptocurrency, and the decentralized ecosystem, as well as a desire to contribute to the growth and success of Gnosis Chain.
