Enterprise Network Architect - CAN

The Enterprise Network Architect designs and maintains the organization's network architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and security across LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud environments. They oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of network infrastructure, integrating advanced technologies and ensuring compliance with security standards. Additionally, they collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders, lead network projects, and provide guidance to junior engineers.

Job Functions:

• Demonstrate deep knowledge of network architecture and implementation features (MPLS, BGP, HSRP, VRRP, BIG-IP, AFM/ASM SDN, ISE, multi-tenant, scalability)

• Produces high level, conceptual designs, and diagrams for the most complex projects in conjunction with enterprise architecture, enterprise solution architecture, domain architects and application teams, related to private, public, and hybrid/multi-cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud native services.  Develops, presents business cases to senior IT leadership.

• Advocate and define network cloud architecture (VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, vNET, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN) vision from a strategic perspective, realizing our internal platforms, systems, and tools.

• Works with IT Managed Services partners responsible for analyzing and translating business, information, technical requirements, and network architecture needs into a secure technology capabilities and offerings

• Key participant in the creation/updating of processes, policy, and governance standards as they relate to data center and network architecture and design principles, including enterprise architecture governance boards, and other critical enterprise solution oversight processes e.g., Compliance by Design.

• Provides guidance and mentorship for junior architects and IT Managed Services team members to develop integrated solutions that resolve complex technical and business issues. 

Basic Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s and 7 years

• Deep understanding in designing and managing network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wireless, and data center networks to service our customers.

• Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in core network infrastructure components as it relates to network deployments; storage, compute, security concepts, data center and the virtualization of these.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors Degree in CIS, Engineering or Business

Experience: 9 years

• Expert level degree of Network Infrastructure experience with AWS, Azure, and private data center clouds and their toolsets.

• Executive level presentation development and delivery experience.

• Technical expert within multiple disciplines, provides strategic direction, guidance and integration of products and services.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Lead multiple / complex projects simultaneously.
