To advance the purpose of InterVarsity, the Associate Director of Evangelism will be committed to InterVarsity’s Purpose, especially in giving leadership nationally as staff seek “to establish and advance at colleges and universities witnessing communities of students and faculty.

Lead InterVarsity in accomplishing its vision for campus evangelism:
- Assist the national organization in the implementation of the InterVarsity Purpose and Vision
- Work with the National Director of Evangelism to implement campus evangelism national plans
- Help champion our national engagement as a learning community in evangelism
- Lead a team of evangelism mentors to research innovative and effective strategies for outreach, which help accomplish InterVarsity national campus evangelism plans and objectives.
- Mentor, manage, and implement evangelism pilot projects through Evangelism Champions.
- Manage and implement proxe stations and other standardized national outreach practices.
- Help oversee and accomplish reaching every ethnicity on campus strategy
- Help oversee and encourage training in evangelism, particularly with campus staff and area directors
- Work with other departments for greater integration of evangelism with other values, such as continuing responsibilities with the Chapter Building beta, as negotiated with the leader of the Chapter Building Steering Committee, until June 2014
Develop leadership committed to evangelism throughout InterVarsity:
- Equip evangelism mentors to train younger evangelism leaders
Ensure compliance with InterVarsity policies and procedures:
- Help coordinate the development and oversight of an ongoing National Plan for Evangelism
- Help distribute financial grants to encourage new evangelism strategies and programs
- Maintain strong partnerships with National Service Center personnel
Maintain sound financial status for given responsibilities:
- Secure personal financial and prayer support for campus evangelism
- Nurture donor relationships through visits, phone calls, and regular prayer letters
- Ensure compliance with national fund development guidelines
Represent InterVarsity Christian Fellowship Evangelism:
- Partner with evangelism leaders within and outside InterVarsity
- Be involved locally in personal evangelism
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Faith
- Hold a degree from an accredited university
- Significant theological acuity and spiritual maturity
- Sense of calling to InterVarsity, its mission, and the Associate Director of Evangelism position
- Prior leadership experience with InterVarsity or other campus ministry
- Prior experience with evangelism leadership
- Leadership experience, development of vision
- Able to lead through influence
- Ability to work collaboratively with other leaders
- Supervisory and team-building experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Cross-cultural skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Experience in fund development
Pay Range: $53,328.00 - $71,112.00 per year
Pay: This position is funded through personal fundraising. Accordingly, compensation will vary based on the ability of the individual to secure a donor team to fund the cost of his/her salary. The anticipated salary range for this position on a full-time basis (40 hours/week) is dependent on a variety of factors, including location and cost of living. The actual salary received, including any geographic adjustment to account for location and cost of living, is subject to the individual’s ability to raise funds necessary to cover the full amount of such salary within the range set forth in the job posting details.
