Our Global Consulting team is growing and we are looking for
Mine Waste Specialists to join us. We are seeking highly motivated individual with excellent technical and interpersonal skills to work with our talented team in delivering outstanding service to our clients. Opportunities exist for experienced Geotechnical Engineers, Civil Engineers, Water Resources Engineers and Mine Tailings Specialists.
You’ll work across a variety of interesting and challenging projects providing geotechnical engineering expertise on mining projects, including tailings facilities, heap leach and waste rocks.
About The Role
Depending on your technical skillset, duties may include:
- Participating in topographical, geotechnical, hydrogeological, hydrological, and seismic hazard and site response analyses.
- Providing support in the design of geotechnical works, soil structures, and civil structures, among others, related to foundation design, pile design and/or tailing storage facilities.
- Conducting site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate tailings management designs.
- Preparing factual and design reports.
- Attending and chairing client meetings.
- Spearheading the preparation of proposals, cost estimates, and project timelines, driving the planning, field support, and successful completion of geotechnical site investigations.
- Responsibility for crafting technical studies and engineering reports and deliver recommendations on various mine waste aspects within projects based on in-depth studies and project-specific work.
- Collaborating effectively with engineering colleagues on multi-disciplinary consulting projects.
- Facilitating the exchange of technical knowledge across geographical boundaries to inspire innovative solutions for project challenges.
- Travel to client sites within Mexico, and potentially globally.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering or closely related discipline.
- Experienced with AutoCAD and Autodesk CIVIL 3D for geotechnical/mining projects.
- Proficiency in Geostudio, Rocsience, Bentley tools (Plaxis), to perform stability analyses, seepage, deformation, dynamic analysis, geothermal and others is an asset.
- Experience in seismic hazard and site response analyses.
- Experience generating civil-mining drawings, earthworks, and Material Take-off sheets (MTOs)
- Demonstrated experience with proposal preparation, project delivery, and client development.
- Experience preparing factual and design reports, including technical specifications.
- Experience designing and implementing geotechnical field investigations.
- Ability to communicate professionally in English & Spanish.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet established deadlines.
- Strong people skills and a desire and ability to work in a team environment and independently.
