Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Sr. Manager, CRM (Independent Contractor) for our Digital Marketing & CRM Team to lead key projects within the Media Center of Excellence portfolio. This role involves managing and optimizing our CRM platform, which supports relationships with our Board, Donors, Partners, and Local Media stations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in marketing technology, CRM, and strong project management skills. Responsibilities include rolling out and delivering CRM projects (features, optimization, adoption, data reports, dashboards), collaborating with the CRM team to meet performance goals, and driving Salesforce adoption across the organization. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can troubleshoot, drive change, and achieve measurable business results.


Ad Council is seeking an experienced independent contractor to work on a contract basis. The Ad Council presently anticipates the length of the engagement to be approximately 12 months with the possibility of extending the contract. The compensation for this position is $10,000 monthly, paid semi-monthly. The independent contractor will receive a 1099 for tax reporting purposes. We are also open to this role being a fully remote position.


What you’ll do:

  • Lead continuous improvement of the CRM Program by leveraging strategy, data analysis, and process enhancements
  • Coordinate with cross functional departments to align on common business processes, data structures and operating practices
  • Drive user adoption of Salesforce by tracking system usage and creating user education/communication plans
  • Teach and mentor staff on the use of our CRM System
  • Utilize and update various platforms to maintain the project knowledge base (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet)
  • Develop and manage the master plan and calendar of CRM and Data activity to ensure work is progressing effectively
  • Prepare and update project plans, status reports, and requirement documentation
  • Foster strong stakeholder relationships.


What you’ll bring:

  • 6+ years of experience in digital marketing, CRM strategy, or related digital fields
  • Experience with MarTech tools such as CMS, Email Marketing Automation, DAM, etc.
  • Strong understanding of CRM best practices and intermediate custom features
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and presentation skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of staff
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to high-quality, accurate results
  • Proven experience in implementing marketing technologies like Salesforce
  • Strong knowledge of the marketing and digital technology landscape and trends
  • Successful leadership of complex, cross-functional projects through their lifecycle
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
  • Motivated, passionate, and eager to learn and share knowledge with the team
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for building rapport with stakeholders
  • Ability to present ideas clearly and professionally
  • Proactive team player with enthusiasm and excitement for work
