Your missions

Resilient Analytics, a Stanley Consultants company, is currently seeking an experienced, growth-oriented and client-focused Business Development Manager with strong sales skills that will build and prosecute a growth pipeline of projective data analytics consulting projects and programs globally – with a focus on climate risk, vulnerability and financial cost analysis. This role will identify and develop new clients in our primary market sectors through strong industry connections and assist in growing our existing client relationships.

Essential Duties:

  • Serve as the Resilient Analytics key sales contact, directly interfacing with our team to ensure alignment with RA’s mission and expertise
  • Build and prosecute a growth pipeline to significantly increase sales backlog, defend and increase market share, move up the value chain, and diversify client base
  • Exercise your industry network to identify and secure 3 new enterprise clients
  • Prepare growth and sales strategy to deliver aggressive, smart growth for data analytics consulting services with a focus on climate analytics
  • Achieve individual sales goal of $1.5M in first year
  • Provide leadership in the development of client relationships, capture planning/strategy and proposal activities
  • Evaluate client needs, identify requirements, and provide clients with value added solutions. Lead all aspects of client prospecting process
  • Provide leadership to guide pursuit teams through the positioning, proposal development and interview stages, and bring a strong understanding of relevant consulting disciplines - engineering, environmental, ESG/reporting, resilience, sustainability, and climate science
  • Prepare and submit proposals, sources sought and qualification statements with support from our inside sales organization
  • Work with legal team in contract and fee negotiations for consulting engagements
  • Participate in project scoping, fee estimating, proposal preparation, interviews, and negotiations
  • Prepare for and actively participate in Go/No-go decision process and make recommendations for Go No/Go decisions
  • Communicate internally and report regularly on sales pipeline, client prospecting, and opportunity tracking and status
  • Maintain and update sales opportunities in the CRM database
  • Identify and provide opportunities to potentially grow the data analytics business beyond climate-based analytics
  • Perform other functions delegated by Resilient Analytics leadership
  • Travel as required

Required skills, education, and experience:

  • Possess 10 years of growth-oriented sales experience (at least 5 years in a relevant or adjacent industry) with a history of successful client engagement and business growth resulting in new and additive business
  • Demonstrated business development skills including leadership of the preparation of presentations, statements of interest, technical proposals and interviews
  • Bachelor of Science in engineering, science, business or related field from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Proven track record of successful client development
  • Ability to develop strong client relationships and expand markets and services. Strong industry connections preferred

Base Compensation: $103,300 - $150,000 Resilient Analytics is committed to maintaining transparency in our hiring process, including providing information about compensation. The starting salary for the successful candidate in this position is competitive and will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications and experience, geographic location, internal equity, company policy and practices.
