About the role 

 

We are looking for a Head of People, for our EverWell business unit – Timely & SalonBiz. 

 

Timely and SalonBiz serve over 24,000 customers in 100 countriesWe provide booking and client management software and are on a mission to build the leading platform for beauty professionals. Between us, we offer SaaS solutions to customers of varying sizes and stages, serving different customer profiles within the beauty industry. Our software helps business owners take control of their calendar, make more money and deliver amazing experiences that keep their clients coming back.    

 

As our Head of People, you'll be an effective influencer, knowledgeable about the business, and whose impact and value is clear to the client group and People organisation alike.  

  

Reporting to the VP of HR Business Partners & Talent Acquisition, with a dotted line to Business Unit leadership, you will be responsible for cultivating the employee experience and unlocking improved organisational performance both in the short and long term.   

  

You will function well in a high-growth, fast-paced environment and serve as a leader on a globally distributed team. You should be comfortable with ambiguous situations and recognise when it is appropriate to introduce more structure and process to optimise increased output. You’ll possess strong interpersonal skills and can build solid relationships based on trust.  

  

This role partners closely with business leaders at all levels, People leadership, and employees throughout the org to ensure talent capabilities drive and support our business objectives. The role will continue to evolve and change as the company grows and as the People organisation changes along with it to meet the business needs. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic and changing environment and have fun while getting a lot of great work done. 

 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Understand the business and its challenges to help address the organisation and people needs.  

  • Contribute to the Business Unit vision and strategy and act as the senior advisor on key topics that will directly affect people and culture.  

  • Develop and implement talent strategies that touch all aspects of the employee lifecycle to drive performance, development, engagement, and retention.  

  • Design, propose, and implement operating models and organisational designs that will enable efficiency and success.   

  • Develop and implement programs to uplift capability in areas such as leadership.  

  • Serve as a champion for a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workforce.  

  • Unlock a culture that embraces feedback and provides input and sustainable solutions for all People process at scale.  

  • Guide internal communications on strategic and tactical objectives related to employee experience.  

  • Manage the total rewards strategy in partnership with Compensation team to ensure alignment of compensation (including benefits) with company strategy, commercial and revenue goals, and employee priorities relative to the markets our teams are working within.  

  • Partner with and/or lead other HR Business Partners, People Operations, and centers of excellence to ensure alignment and to create a strong, cross-functional team  

  • Partner with expertise centers to solve business problems and to executive on corporate-wide talent initiatives.  

  • Improve manager capabilities through coaching and implementation of management development programs and opportunities  

  • Use data to measure success: learn, iterate, and improve; analyze trends and develop proactive actions to further support business objectives  

  • Communicate to a diverse and globally distributed population and be able to flex your style according to the audience  

  • Communicate to the business leaders, including C-Suite executives 

 

Skills and Experience needed to be successful: 

 

  • 10+ years HR experience, including both direct client support and management of senior HR leaders  

  • Ability to use compelling arguments to influence and gain the support and commitment of others, especially in leading change efforts, including senior and C-Suite level leaders  

  • Proven track record and ability to partner with the Senior business leaders, Global People leaders, and across regions to successfully drive organisation initiatives, gain commitment, and implement sustainable change and including the capability to work effectively across multiple time zones when needed.  

  • Strong strategic leadership capability with a proven ability to collaborate, develop strong partnerships, build consensus, and navigate complex environments in service of meeting shared objectives  

  • Demonstrated competence in the various HR functional areas, especially employee relations and change management  

  • Comfortable and able to thrive in an ambiguous, high growth, fast paced environment  

  • Outstanding interpersonal and executive communication skills  

  • Demonstrated credibility and integrity in communications to ensure information flows both upward and downward  

  • Ability to excel in an unstructured environment and work independently  

  • Critical thinker with success in developing innovative solutions to business issues  

  •  (Highly Preferred) Experience working in a SaaS/technology sector in a high growth environment
