Job Title: Shopify QA Analyst

About the Role:

As a Shopify QA Analyst, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our Shopify stores and applications. You'll be responsible for conducting rigorous testing across various platforms and devices, identifying and documenting bugs, and collaborating with developers to ensure a smooth user experience for our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional testing of Shopify stores and applications across various devices (desktop, mobile, tablet).
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans based on user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Identify and document bugs and defects using a project management tool (e.g., Jira).
  • Write clear and concise bug reports with detailed steps to reproduce the issue.
  • Collaborate with developers to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve identified issues.
  • Test integrations with third-party applications and ensure seamless functionality.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest Shopify features, functionalities, and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback from a QA perspective (if applicable).
  • Assist with the development of automated testing scripts (a plus).
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of e-commerce best practices and user experience principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in QA testing, preferably with a focus on e-commerce platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Shopify functionalities and features.
  • Experience with manual and exploratory testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with testing tools and bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A passion for e-commerce and a keen understanding of user behavior (a plus).
