Your missions

The Engineering team at Jellyfish is maturing, and after a year of record growth we are looking to add people who are passionate about making an impact and playing a role in helping us scale. Our Team Leads are key players in helping our development teams achieve their ambitious missions. Team Leads are the engineering part of the Product/Engineering/Design triad and are responsible for representing the technology view and informing product direction discussions so that we build the right things the right way. Team Leads are also responsible for the process and delivery of their teams and setting the right conditions for every engineer on the team to achieve their full potential.

What you’ll do:

  • Work as part of a product, engineering and design trio on team strategy and roadmap.

  • Be accountable for your team’s say/do performance. 

  • Work with your team to continuously improve your team’s ways of working.

  • Understand all aspects of your team’s product area inclusive of architecture, implementation and business use cases.

  • Maintain a high bar for technical excellence and quality.

  • Mentor engineers and help them grow and level up.

  • Work with engineering leaders on alignment of your team's efforts to overall company strategy

  • Provide support for production operations of the Jellyfish product

  • Actively promote a culture supportive of growth and inclusion 

Who you are:

  • Strong experience leading teams developing SaaS platforms, including shaping team structures and ways of working (as opposed to executing someone else's process)

  • Curious - great at asking questions, figuring out what needs to be done, building consensus, and executing

  • A committed servant leader, focused on enabling and empowering teams and people to achieve big results

  • Experienced working in a matrix style organization and know how to navigate in a world that is not run by top-down directives

  • Love learning new things and teaching others what you know

  • Excited about data, and measuring and quantifying the things that make successful engineering teams

  • An outstanding communicator and with stellar collaboration skills
