CLASSIFICATION: Hourly. Non-U.S. based independent contractor. 40 hours per week.
WORK SCHEDULE: Work from home office 5 shifts per week as indicated on the schedule below plus an extra shift once every 5 weeks, totaling 40 hours per week (48 hours per week on the week you work the extra shift). Each contractor has a rotation that includes morning, evening, and night shifts. Each contractor gets at least two days off after working 40 hours in the week. There is at least 12 hours off between each shift for every employee.

ANTICIPATED TRAVEL: 0% of the time.
SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The Security Camera Monitor is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the company's premises by continuously monitoring surveillance camera footage, logging activity observed, notifying appropriate staff/authorities for any activity observed to deviate from established standards. This role involves observing and identifying potential security threats, reporting incidents, and maintaining detailed records of activities observed on the surveillance system.
SCHEDULED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage overflow calls: Upon arriving to duty, update ring central overflow calls to your extension. Answer and route overflow phone calls to the appropriate staff.

Coordinate staffing: Understand the staffing plan for assisted living facilities and residential treatment facilities. When a staff person is not on duty for a schedule shift, call in an off duty staff person who is credential to work the shift and advise the original scheduled staff member and the supervisor of the update.

Combat Time-Clock Theft: If a scheduled staff person is clocked in but not observed to be on site, call the site/staff person and ask them to stand in front of a camera on site. If the staff person is not able to do so within 30 seconds of your observation, clock the staff person out, issue a disciplinary action, notify the supervisor, notify payroll, and if requested by the supervisor, call in an off duty staff person to cover the remainder of the shift.

Monitor Surveillance Footage: Continuously observe live and recorded footage from multiple surveillance cameras. Identify and report any unusual or suspicious activities, behaviors, or breaches.

Incident Reporting: Respond promptly to security incidents by notifying appropriate personnel. Document and log all security incidents, providing detailed descriptions of events.

Collaboration with Security Team: Work closely with the security team to ensure coordinated responses to incidents. Provide real-time information and support during emergency situations.

System Maintenance and Operation: Ensure all surveillance equipment is functioning correctly and report any malfunctions. Assist with the installation and setup of new surveillance cameras as needed.

Data Management: Maintain an organized record of all recorded footage and incident logs. Retrieve and provide recorded footage for investigations and audits upon request.

Compliance and Training: Stay informed about company policies, procedures, and legal requirements related to surveillance and privacy. Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices and new technologies.
UNSCHEDULED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in external and internal audits/surveys (CARF/CSA/OHCQ) as directed by the supervisor.
- Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement plans by completing periodic audits or other activities to ensure regulatory compliance and/or improve service delivery.
- Assist the supervisor with any work-related tasks as requested.
- Collaborate with and serve as program POC for external treatment providers and outside agencies as needed.
- Responsible for following regulations of COMAR, CARF, any other regulatory body, and company policies/ procedures related to service delivery and documentation and co-facilitating orientation of all new hires to these as well.
- Support the maintenance of a safe environment by participating in training and drills as requested.
- Advise the supervisor on the development and implementation of protocols to better enhance the efficiency of day to day operations effecting change when approvals are made.
- Troubleshoot and abate any issues that could adversely affect the day-to-day operations.
- Report to the Supervisor daily and as requested. Report deviation of operational standards to CEO daily.
- Collaborate with department leaders, external landlords, vendors, utilities providers, housing related external entities and supervisees regularly as needed.
- Have knowledge of Policies and Procedures
- Maintain a working knowledge of COMAR as it pertains to assisted living and other residential regulations within the scope of services rendered by the company.
- Report to the CEO, COO, manager via email when starting and ending service period if not using Company’s time keeping system.
- Check emails and company group texts at least every 30 minutes while on duty; respond accordingly.
- Assist the CEO, COO and/or contract manager with other services as requested / directed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regularly sit at desk and monitor computer screens.
WORKING CONDITIONS: All work is performed in your desired remote location.

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- Experience: Previous experience in a security role, especially in a surveillance monitoring capacity, is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
- Proficient with computer systems and surveillance technology.
LEVEL OF EDUCATION/TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional security-related training is a plus.
