This role sits within the Ascenian business, a Clinigen Company and is a global research and consulting partnership that helps life sciences companies worldwide to develop, capture, and communicate the clinical and economic evidence required to demonstrate the value of new treatments to health technology assessment (HTA) agencies and payers. Our services leverage a combination of capabilities in clinical knowledge, HTA and payer process and methodology, business and strategy, price and reimbursement and health economics and real-world evidence.

To support our growth we have an opportunity for a Consultant to join our Market Access Consulting team to play an active role in project delivery, and to contribute to how we shape and address the latest trends in market access. Please note this role will operate remotely, due to client and internal requirements, we ask for applicants to reside in either the Eastern or Central time zone.

Responsibilities

In this role you will work closely with senior staff and PLN members of the project team to:

  • Take ownership and execute systematic literature reviews (SLRs)
  • Co-lead Global Value Dossier development
  • Take leadership for all methods-based desk research.
  • Get involved as a Project Director, supported by the Project Leader, across all project types e.g.,  Reimbursement and pricing studies, advisory boards and desk based research).
  • Contribute to planning and execution of timely and well managed projects (you will be typically involved in 2-3 projects simultaneously)
  • Lead day-to-day client liaison 
  • Oversee project delivery, which could include: 1:1 interviews and dyads with payer decision makers and payer advisers (e.g. pricing, TPP or value message testing), landscape assessments, advisory boards, negotiation workshops, due diligence research, playbook creation
  • Lead project team through analysis of project findings including:
      • Verifying and clarifying research outputs
      • Storyboarding
      • Alignment with customer needs and stakeholder perspectives
  • Coordinate – and undertake – development of results presentation, including strategic recommendations
  • Support presentation of results to client
  • Active engagement in, and contribution to, business development through client outreach, development of Thought Leadership and promotion to clients.
  • Develop and refine content knowledge through involvement in our Thought Leadership programme.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in leading SLRs and GVDs in previous positions
  • Experience desired in country reimbursement dossier writing as well as support of early scientific advice projects 
  • Experience in pricing, reimbursement, and global market access, either in a consultancy or industry (corporate-level) and highly engaged in expanding your knowledge
  • Knowledge of price and reimbursement systems in Europe, US, or Asia
  • An in-depth knowledge in one system will be of advantage and provides an additional strength
  • Genuine interest and curiosity in pricing and reimbursement.
  • Personable, committed, flexible team-worker and used to / comfortable working from home office
  • Strategic thinker with ability to understand customer challenges
  • Well-organised and able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Enthusiastic to learn and motivated to take opportunities to develop
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and sound judgement
  • You may have a background in natural science or economics or health policy
