Authorising Engineer (AE)

Location: Various Sites (remote with travel to sites)

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our Clients Business Unit as an Authorising Engineer (AE). Reporting to the Communities' Chief Authorising Engineer (CAE), the AE will conduct technical and operational audits, inspections, and investigations related to building services systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct annual technical audits and inspections for compliance.
  • Perform root cause analysis of non-compliance incidents to minimize performance deductions.
  • implement and monitor Clients Safe Systems of Work (SSoW).
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and failures involving engineering systems.
  • Provide technical advice and support to various stakeholders.
  • Approve and monitor training plans for Authorised Persons (APs).
  • Stay updated on the latest engineering developments and innovations.

Disciplines Covered:

High Voltage, Low Voltage, Pressure Systems, Gas, Refrigeration, Confined Spaces, Hot Works, Working at Height, Excavations, Petroleum, Lifts, Ventilation, Water, Medical Gases, Fire, and Decontamination.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record as an Authorising Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in conducting audits and inspections.
  • Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Strong understanding of Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) procedures.
