About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator to join our existing team based in Europe.

You will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Linux based systems, ensuring peak performance, security, and scalability.

The ideal candidate should possess vast Linux knowledge, exceptional troubleshooting skills, and a robust background in systems administration.

About you

You’re technical with a passion for the industry and a keen awareness of the latest trends, technologies, and approaches. While you are able to work effectively in a self-directed manner, you also enjoy sharing your knowledge and empowering your colleagues to work as a highly productive, close-knit team.

You demonstrate MEGA’s values by taking ownership of your work and pursuing continuous improvement, proactively identifying present or potential issues and seeking to efficiently resolve them. Also, you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5-7+ years of experience managing Debian/Ubuntu Linux-based infrastructure.
  • Understanding of security best practices, disaster recovery procedures, problem resolution, and performance analysis.
  • Server hardware knowledge and the ability to diagnose server related faults.
  • The willingness to go that extra mile or kilometre, to produce the best possible quality work on deadline.
  • The ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible), Containerisation (Docker) and Virtualisation (KVM).
  • Experience with LAMP stack, DNS and Mail servers
  • TCP/IP protocols and network related fault finding experience.
  • Have work and residence permits for the EU
  • Strong English communication skills.
