Your missions

What We're Looking For

Stytch is the platform for user authentication. We create products that make interacting with authentication a delightful experience, both for developers and for customers.

This role will be responsible for the key touchpoints of developer education at Stytch – documentation and example apps. This includes:

  • Researching and defining language/framework investment areas

  • Writing guides, references, and resources, complete with diagrams and realistic code examples in all major supported languages/frameworks

  • Writing example apps to demonstrate how to integrate Stytch across a wide range of frameworks and stacks

  • Ensuring consistency of structure, voice, and terminology across all of our documentation

The ideal candidate has a strong intuition for how to explain complex technical concepts, and enjoys executing on the example code, diagrams and written content to help others learn. If you’re comfortable across the stack, enjoy learning new concepts and frameworks, and are an excellent technical writer we’d love to chat!

What Excites You
  • Ramping up on a wide range of languages/frameworks and tools

  • Figuring out how to explain a new technical concept, using the right combo of code, text and visual components to get through to your audience

  • Building out content for everything from quickstart guides, to complex architecture diagrams

  • Collaborating with product, engineering and design on defining and improving the developer activation journey

What Excites Us
  • 3+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer

  • Excellent technical writing and diagramming skills

  • Comfort with ambiguity

  • Strong sense of ownership and pride in the work you produce

What Success Looks Like
  • Craft — guide developers through every stage of their education about Stytch, helping to make Stytch’s value proposition come to life through examples and resources

  • Ownership — end-to-end ownership of the full developer education surface area, with table stakes coverage on docs and example apps – but the opportunity to expand into other mediums as you see fit

  • Leadership — advocating for investments in various frameworks, identifying friction points in the product

Expected base salary $150,000 - $190,000. The anticipated base salary range is not inclusive of full benefits including equity, health care insurance, time off, paid parental leave, etc. This base salary is accurate based on information at the time of posting. Actual compensation for hired candidates will be determined using a number of factors including experience, skills, and qualifications.

We're looking to hire a GREAT team and that means hiring people who are highly empathetic, ambitious, and excited about building the future of user authentication. You should feel empowered to apply for this role even if your experience doesn't exactly match up to our job description (our job descriptions are directional and not perfect recipes for exactly what we need).

We are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workspace where everyone (regardless of age, education, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or any personal characteristics) feels like they belong. We look forward to hearing from you!
