About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic leader to join our team as a [Position Title]. Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the overall loan pipeline, ensuring efficient workload distribution.
  • Uphold underwriting standards, regulatory compliance, and risk management protocols.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to optimize team performance and achieve goals.
  • Conduct regular reviews of loan applications to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Identify and implement training opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and industry trends, recommending policy updates as necessary.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee recruitment, performance management, and career development initiatives.
  • Participate in the interview process for new team members.
  • Organize and facilitate department meetings as required.
  • Serve as a role model, embodying integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in mortgage underwriting.
  • 5 years of supervisory or management experience with direct reports.
  • Expert knowledge of mortgage lending processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Current certifications for relevant underwriting endorsements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internal data entry systems.

Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based with occasional travel to remote locations.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.
