Your missions

This is a remote role based anywhere within our European countries of operation. You must be a permanent resident of that country and legally authorised to work there.

Our Company

Autovista Group, a part of J.D. Power, provides trusted pricing and specification insights for Europe’s automotive decision makers. We have a presence in over 20 countries across Europe and Australia. We focus on the provision of automotive data, insight and intelligence to the automotive sector, offering products and solutions for every stage of a vehicle’s lifecycle. Deploying our experts’ skills, our depth in data, analytical precision and geographical reach, we are shaping the future of global mobility together with our clients.

The Department

The Car To Market (CTM) & Consulting unit is Europe’s market leader in advising car manufacturers on how to optimise their product and commercialisation strategies when they launch new vehicles into the market. Car To Market is a standardised consulting study, which provides advice to manufacturers on how to optimise the performance of a specific vehicle on new- and used-car markets.

The Role

As an Automotive Market Analyst you get to know new cars before they appear on the market at clients’ launch events. You conduct detailed vehicle assessments for European markets. You will engage with established car manufacturers as well as new automotive brands entering Europe, for example from China, and you provide critical input in their decision making around product and commercialisation strategies.

In your daily work you benchmark upcoming vehicles versus competitors and obtain the buy-in from quality manager. Your in-depth research of the competitive landscape, market trends, and analyses of the strategic data supplied by our clients allow you to assess the future strength and weaknesses of the vehicle. Our primary concern in a CTM study is to optimise the to-be-launched vehicle’s performance on new and used-car markets. You will develop recommendations how to improve the residual values forecast and continuously communicate with the project coordinator regarding customer requirements and project progress. Furthermore, you will engage directly with our customers when presenting and defending the results of our study. You will also play a crucial role in optimising our CTM methodology and processes, you support the creation of market reports and engage in consulting studies to develop Autovista Group thought leadership. The position is a great stepping stone to further develop your automotive expertise and we offer you a truly international role. The role provides you access to one of the most important industries in Europe which is engaging in a fundamental transition from internal combustion engines to electric vehicles. It has never been more exciting to work in automotive.

The Candidate

You combine good automotive knowledge and passion for the industry with an analytical mindset and affinity with data. You have first relevant (automotive) job experiences or qualifications, possibly a bachelor’s or master’s degree. You will be able to work independently and proactively as a driven, meticulous analyst with an enquiring mind and you enjoy working in teams. Excellent time management skills are valuable to help ensure project deadlines are met. Very good MS Office knowledge (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and apt communication skills (incl. report writing) complete your profile. You are looking forward to building trusting relationships with customers, you like to communicate and explain your findings and you have a good command of English, both orally and in writing.
