Position Title: Legal Virtual Assistant (AU Experience) 

Location: Remote

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Legal Virtual Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative assistance to legal professionals, handling a variety of tasks such as document preparation, client communication, and case management. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.
  • Draft and proofread legal documents, including contracts, briefs, and correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for case preparation.
  • Assist with file management, organizing documents, and maintaining electronic databases.
  • Prepare and file court documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional manner.
  • Coordinate document production and discovery responses as directed by attorneys.
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks and submissions.
  • Assist with billing and invoicing, tracking billable hours, and expenses.
  • Provide general administrative support to attorneys and legal staff as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or similar role in a law firm or legal department.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and document formats.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information and client matters.
  • Proficiency in using legal research tools.
  • Strong analytical skills
