Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director, Project Development, the Analyst, Project Development will demonstrate an entrepreneurial passion for renewable energy development opportunities within the Community Solar and Small Utility Scale sector and assist in the execution of Company projects. The Sr. Analyst will be expected to gather information from multiple sources and drive the project development lifecycle from origination to completion for various properties and client types. The successful candidate will act as the conduit between Origination, Engineering, Finance & Operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an entrepreneurial passion for renewable energy development and a desire to work with clients to transform the way they procure energy.
Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with regulators, incentive agencies, utilities, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) for ongoing client support
- Identify and lead the execution of key project deadlines and milestones
- Assist in the management of renewable energy credits
- Manage or assist in the management of the development cycle through the various stages and processes, including, but not limited to:
- Survey existing conditions (site access, constructability, shading, etc.)
- Perform Desktop Study ("Transect Report", USFW, Historical Society)
- Determine Assessor Parcel Numbers & Obtain Tax Records
- Identify & Survey External Stakeholders (e.g., neighbors, AHJ, P&Z)
- Determine Property Zoning Designation
- Review Land Use Regulations
- Obtain Title Report
- Order Constrained maps
- Prepare & Submit Incentives application
- Prepare Permitting Matrix
- Order Phase I ESA
- Order and oversee Civil studies (wetlands, topo, boundary, ALTA, wildlife)
- Prepare non ministerial permit applications
- Conduct stakeholder management
- Handoff project to Procurement & Construction
- Obtain Title Commitment
- Update ALTA and Lease with As-Builts, and Place Title Policy
Qualifications:
Must be passionate about the renewable energy business, hardworking and thrive in the fast pace of a rapidly growing company. In addition, the candidate must possess:
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience with a developer, utility company, regulatory agency or project finance firm specializing in power/energy/utilities
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proven ability to solve problems and come up with value added solutions quickly and accurately
- Track-record of working on teams to support energy, infrastructure, or real estate projects
- Outstanding organizational and people skills
- Understanding of engineering and renewable energy systems
- Understanding of project and structured finance is a plus
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 including Excel, PowerPoint, Word

Location: NYC Hybrid
At Aspen Power, our work model includes three ways of working: remote, in-person, and hybrid (a hybrid of in-person and remote).
Compensation Range:
The salary range for this position is: $75,000 - $85,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
Note that title and salary will be commensurate with candidate experience.
