As the Director of Marketing, you are a key leader in our effort to drive pipeline and meet revenue goals. You will be responsible for the marketing strategy, including outbound and inbound demand generation, sales funnel development activities as well as coordinating with our product marketing team on field enablement.

You will leverage global messaging and assets to develop, adapt and execute highly effective marketing programs to increase market awareness, generate demand, accelerate pipeline, activate partners and grow sales within the region. This role will partner with key stakeholders including our marketing team, field teams, and product management to define and execute metrics-driven campaigns.

This role will report into the Chief Marketing Officer based in the US.

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE

  • Develop and manage the marketing plan for the AMER region to meet or exceed the regional awareness, pipeline targets and revenue targets
  • Lead, motivate and mentor the existing marketing team to meet KPIs and revenue targets
  • Work with the global field team and US-based marketing team to collaborate and align regional objectives with overall corporate goals
  • Leverage global demand strategy to create innovative regional approaches leading to bookings aligned with the global sales strategy 
  • Ability to take key messages from the US team and use terminology appropriate to the target market and geography
  • Manage the marketing budget associated with all marketing activities and direct the spend to associated teams to execute plans you create and shape
  • Work with Corporate Marketing PR to support regional PR and AR activities with customers, partners, and Certinia executives
  • Track, build and expand the reach of the contact database for key AMER accounts
  • Drive a strong partnership between the Marketing team and the sales teams (field and inside) to ensure they are equipped with relevant collateral and references to drive sales through the pipeline.
  • Work with Certinia partners to support their marketing efforts and run joint events and campaigns
  • Work with corporate Product Marketing to coordinate product launches, review global campaign themes and provide feedback on sales tools required for the AMER region
  • Some travel required

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE 

  • Substantial & proven experience working in a similar B2B field marketing management role within the technology industry (SaaS and ERP preferred)
  • Experience with pre-IPO, hyper-growth technology company & IPO events
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and influence executive leadership
  • Team player, able to work with global cross-functional teams
  • High energy with the ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Deep understanding of sales process and marketing/sales alignment
  • Experience working within the Salesforce Community preferred
  • Metrics metrics-driven approach, you are numerically strong and use data to inform strategic decisions and planning
  • Expert knowledge of demand generation best-practices
  • Experience working with salesforce.com and Marketing Automation systems (Marketo and 6sense preferred)
  • Experience partnering with Sales leadership, understanding and supporting sales drivers; lead to pipeline add, pipeline growth and management, territory growth tactics (warm & cold territory plans), regional events, etc.
  • A demonstrable track record of achieving significant growth results, revenue & market share
  • Proven ability to build and lead world-class marketing teams
  • High levels of initiative and the skills and ability to build rapport with executives, colleagues and customers
  • Excellent leadership skills and able to develop and nurture a team
  • Creative thinker with the ability to inspire out of the box thinking in others
  • Self-starter with a can do and solution focused attitude who can thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary Range: $161,600 - $222,000
