Job Summary:
The VDC / DPC Coordinator works directly for the Technology Team, according to assignment, Helps in technical
development of all staff and is responsible for overseeing the Virtual Design and Construction team as well as the
Designated Project Coordinator production processes. This responsibility requires a solid knowledge of F&T corporate
standard practices and will work towards ensuring adherence and adoption of those standards. This person plays a key
role in design delivery and design integration of all projects, will work closely work with the Technology Director to set and
meet strategic initiatives in both Technology and BIM practices.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Works under minimal supervision. Some client contact for project coordination. Ability to communicate with
project team to minimize misunderstanding and conflicts. Promote coordination and cooperation of in-house
projects. Success dependent on Key Functional Partnerships with Lead Project Engineers, Project Managers, and
Staff to ensure quality deliverables.
VDC Duties/Responsibilities
Oversee the 3D Models production process to ensure task delegation, design tickets, communication and quality
are being met.
Act as a Managerial representative of BIM alongside our IT and Technology leaders.
Assist in expanding our BIM standards, focusing on implementation and enforcement while continuing our
strategic development plan already in place by the Technology Director.
Supporting the BIM manager/Technology Director in the delivery of digital practices within project teams and the
seamless sharing of information with other discipline teams.
Assisting in the preparation of technical and commercial bid proposals, supporting the BIM Manager/Technology
Director in responding to responses.
Overseeing the management and improvements of our BIM library creation, maintenance, and staff library
assistance.
Assistance discipline departments and Power Users in creating and managing ongoing Revit customization to
help architects and/or engineers work more efficiently, as well as template maintenance.
Provide training for new users, advanced training for existing users, and encourage an environment of continual
learning.
Occasional client meeting to provide direction, clarity and support of our project setup structure coordination
practices and sharing preference with external collaborators. This would be the authoritative support providing the
Designated Project Coordinator direction on how to configure each project.
BIM project file maintenance, prevention, and corruption recovery.
Build and setup the Model Coordination spaces for f3 and some F2 projects.
Audit and review models in Autodesk Revit, review model health metrics and time applied towards modeling
efforts on projects to ensure budget expectations are being met.
Hold weekly coordination meetings with project team members
Monitor and record VDC metrics to determine the overall health of the department.
Early design review and constructability analysis.
Manage / Update BIM Project Documents.
3D Model Quantity Extraction / Verification.

• Participate and/or oversee the project setup activities including project budget reviews for IT time and project
charter input Set up and maintain all Revit models for TSG use.
• Ensure consistent and complete setups are maintained for all projects.
• Communicate project needs, requests, and requirements between Owners, Architects and Engineers.
• Provide reviews prior to deliverables to ensure Titleblock, sheet and data quality are maintained.
• Communication with project architect for all CAD/Revit model transfers and updates.
• Participate in internal project kickoff meetings.
• Attend and/or organize Red, Yellow, Green (RYG) coordination meetings, as necessary.
• Review drawing submissions during the internal QA/QC process to ensure graphical uniformity and compliance
with internal drawing standards.
• Organize and submit project documents (drawings, specification reports, etc.) to the client when needed by PM.
Copy deliverables to Teams for remote access.
• Submit CAD specific client requirements as needed.
Education and Experience
Associate degree in building information modeling or related, or bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or
related.
Experience working on building structures with architects or structural engineers, understanding of the practice of
architecture, project delivery, and construction methods
Competency in BIM modeling and drawing production, specializing in Revit
Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks and AutoCAD a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Must have a professional appearance.
Effective communication skills, verbal and non-verbal.
Prioritize and plan for work activities in a timely manner and able to multitask.
Thorough understanding of building systems.
Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals
Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal
guidance
Must possess and maintain an exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest
standard of conduct from self and others
Must have a minimum of intermediate PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of work
processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software
Must be a self-starter and possess the drive to pursue continued education on BIM and AEC technology
Possess the ability to work well as part of a team and independently
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
