Job Description
We are looking for an individual to lead two related teams. Firstly a Configuration Team responsible for the accurate and timely collection of public domain data related to drug development and the pharmaceutical industry from a wide variety of sources and using different approaches, including web scraping, APIs and others. This team has subject matter expertise in data acquisition processes and technology.
Secondly, a Classification Team which classifies and tags the collected data with labels for further processing into entity records relevant to Norstella. This team has subject matter expertise related to drug development and pharmaceutical concepts.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
· Line manage several L6 associates and take ownership of operational excellence and output from these teams
· Work closely with L4-L3 associates to implement strategic initiatives and corporate objectives within teams / remit that have been assigned
· Be able to resolve complex people management issues to ensure that SLAs are met across remit
· Be able to resolve issues by applying both pharma domain knowledge and technology skills to ensure that SLAs are met across remit
Key Requirements
· B. Pharm (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
· 10-17 years’ experience, preferably in a life sciences domain or tech role adjacent to life sciences or similar
· Excellent managerial and interpersonal skills
· Ability to manage own workload, work independently, and manage a team of managers
· SME level in drug development and pharmaceutical concepts
· Familiarity with data scraping concepts
· Working knowledge of front-end languages, libraries and file types such as HTML/CSS, Javascript, XML, JSON, JQuery, AJAX etc.
· Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
· Impeccable or native English verbal and written communication
· Professional customer service attitude
