Position Title: CAD Manager

Job Duties:
-Develop and implement CAD standards and best practices for the Company design team; including sheet set management, layers, plotting styles, etc.
Implement CAD workflows and automation to enable creation of BOMs, automated engineering calcs, and other efficiency improvements
Develop, organize, and manage CAD libraries, tool palettes, and templates for standardizing and streamlining drawing production
Organize and provide production support, such as troubleshooting, quality control, and data management
Monitor usage of design software (AutoCAD, Heliscope, PVCase) to identify improvement opportunities, bottlenecks, and optimization of tool usage.
Train in-house staff on CAD software, techniques, tools, and standards
Troubleshoot CAD software issues and provide technical support to team members
Identify opportunities and recommendations for increasing workflow efficiencies
Work with IT Team to maintain document archives and CAD file backups
Stay up to date with the latest CAD software, tools, and industry trends, and make recommendations for software upgrades and improvements
Continuously evaluate CAD processes for areas of improvement
Qualification:
7+ years working with CAD software, extensive experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and preferred experience with AutoCAD Electrical
5+ years CAD management experience
Strong understanding of coordinate systems and the ability to transform data from one system to another
Strong understanding of surface modeling based upon lidar data, survey point files, break lines, etc.
Strong written and oral technical communication skills
Microsoft Office Suite software proficiency
Strong multi-tasking, prioritization, and time management skills
