Strategic Communications Inc. (Stratcom) is Canadas premier political engagement, research and communications firm. We create and implement award-winning campaign and fundraising strategies for the country's top charities, labour unions, progressive NGOs, and for national and provincial election campaigns.

~The opportunity~

We are seeking a group of passionate telephone agents for a 6-9 week contract (possibility of extension) to help us contact voters across Canada in preparation for upcoming election campaigns. Well be calling into numerous battleground ridings on behalf of high-profile, social democratic candidates. This work will have a major impact on the outcome of these campaigns, the success of which is vital to the social democratic movement across Canada.

As a member of the Voter Contact Team, you will work from home while connected to our shared, Internet-based calling application that securely stores all client data. The software automatically places calls for you, connecting you with voters one after another (manual hand dialing is not required).

~Qualities of successful applicants~

  • Previous call centre, fundraising or sales experience.
  • Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) and/or phoning software.
  • Familiarity with Canadian politics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Passionate and outgoing personality; a desire to learn as part of a team, and share tips and best practices with team members.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy demonstrated in a highly consistent manner.

We offer lots of flexibility to our team members, so you'll be able to book calling shifts throughout the week when its most convenient for you (we just ask that you average 3 shifts per week).

The starting salary for this position is $19.05/hr (for active phoning hours, $17.05 for training) with regular pay steps based on total hours worked.

~Other requirements~

You will need to have a private home workspace, high speed Internet and the ability to run an ethernet cable from your router to your personal computer.
