About the Job

The Infillion Business Intelligence team is a service organization whose mission is to establish a visible proactive data-driven culture across the business. Our strategic objectives are to raise the trust, quality, and reliability of our data, democratize it, and identify opportunities for improvement.

 

We are seeking a Sr. BI Analyst to join our team as a shared resource. This role will gather all available data and summarize insights to help guide the business. Someone with experience processing, analyzing, and working in a big-data environment will have ample opportunity for success in this role.

 

Major Performance Objectives

Within 30 days, a successful hire is…

  • Integrated into the BI Platform and Helpdesk, including access to tools (Databricks, Tableau, Looker), data sources (AWS, GCS), and project management (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Able to maintain 2 hr SLAs locating ad performance data for the three main ad business units when requested
  • Able to make minor “cosmetic” edits to existing Tableau or Looker Dashboards, such as changes to default filter settings or adding/updating a data visualization using pre-defined metrics 

 

Within 2 months, a successful hire is…

  • Able to explain how performance data is sourced in data warehouses for each business unit
  • Able to make major edits to Tableau and Looker, or produce new interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau
  • Capable of using various reporting APIs to generate custom reports
  • Able to gather requirements from Key stakeholders and begin to develop a new Weekly Business Review POC focusing on a key area of the business

 

Within 6 months, a successful hire is…

  • Capable of creating and scheduling custom reports and ETLs via Databricks, DBT, or Airflow 
  • Capable of debugging and resolving most reporting issues independently
  • Able to lead a Weekly Business Review with Key stakeholders 

 

Within 1 year, a successful hire is…

  • Able to take ownership of all the data and reporting needs of the DSP unit
  • Capable of creating and implementing aggregate data models to support new BI reporting products and solutions
  • Capable of creating ingestion pipelines with support and guidance from the Data Engineering team
  • Exploring new technologies to enhance the BI Platform

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Partner with QA, Product, Data Science and Data Engineers on areas of scalability, data quality and management, and performance optimizations 
  • Take ownership of demand and supply performance analytics, reporting and troubleshooting, including all related external reports
  • Gather requirements from stakeholders across all business units to scope and build reports and dashboards using Python, SQL, Tableau, Databricks, and Looker.
  • Perform deep dive analysis of a wide range of areas and present insights and recommendations to key stakeholders
  • Be a contributor to modernize our data infrastructure and business processes by researching, proposing, and employing emerging technologies and automation tools
  • Democratize our data by proposing and developing new data products, data pipelines and tools and provide documentation and training to stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, problems, and errors encountered across various systems

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or analytical discipline required; advanced degree preferred
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and Python are required
  • 3-5 years experience with Databricks preferred
  • Experience using version control systems such as Git and Github
  • Strong knowledge of Excel including Pivots, Visualizations, Macros
  • Deep experience with Tableau or Looker
  • Working experience with ETL and Data Pipelines in GCS and/or AWS
  • Proven ability to work with all members of an extended and diverse project team
  • Superb troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Organized and adept at prioritizing multiple project deadlines
  • Ability to learn and adapt to unfamiliar technologies, both open-source and proprietary
  • Must be a strong written and verbal communicator
