Description

NexGen Data Systems is seeking a BRM who will provide support to mission owners within the Data Center and Cloud Hosting Services (DC2HS) division. These responsibilities may include building relationships with data center customers, acting as the first point of escalation on behalf of customers, implementation of administrative systems, fielding telephone calls, scheduling, handling correspondence, word processing, creating documents, and filing. The candidate must be well versed in Engineering Lifecycle processes and have an understanding of Data Center operations. The candidate will join a collaborative multi-functional team environment. Extensive customer service experience, Internet research abilities, Information technology and strong communication skills (written and verbal) are required. Relevant administrative support experience is required. Knowledge of cloud computing technology and architecture is a plus.


Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Primary Focus: Facilitate communication/integration and planning between DC2HS mission owners and active technical efforts/teams.
  • Integrate DCHS customers and familiarize them with the products and services offered.
  • Facilitate resolution of various customer issues; must possess the ability to independently track and work with technical teams to resolve issues. 
  • Crisis Management for assigned systems to include resolution of product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint; assisting with the determination of the problem; explaining the best solution to solve the problem; and expediting correction or adjustment.
  • Manage demand changes and system modernizations/upgrades.
  • Communicate slide reviews and risk to DC2HS service leads.
  • Validate requirements and account requests, escalate to service leads/engineering teams for resolution/development.
  • Follow customers through system lifecycle from integration through sustainment.
  • Maintain and audit customer information in technical database.
  • Work with customers to identify and process systems/services requiring decommission.
  • Send out briefs to new customers transitioning to DC2HS.
  • Aggregate and deliver component reports specific to customers as requested.

Requirements

Desired/Required Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, or Management 
  • Five (5) years of experience supporting corporate operations functions with data management and analysis. 
  • Three (3) years of experience in the areas of data management, data analysis, and data visualization. 
  • Experience in designing multiple data visualization techniques, and applying the most appropriate visualization tailored to different audiences. 
  • Experiences related to project planning, recommending timelines and milestones, and identify risk areas; working and consulting with cross-functional teams in the delivery of a product or service; developing analytical models in spreadsheets and using presentation tools to facilitate communication with stakeholders. 
  • Experience with the Navy Working Capital Fund business model. 
  • Experience may be achieved simultaneously. Customer Services and strong understanding of Data Center technologies.
  • Exposure to network, systems administration (Windows/Solaris/RHEL), systems security (ESS/SCAP/ACAS), storage (NetApp) or systems engineering would be helpful.
  • Knowledge of commercial cloud environments such as AWS and Azure. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience with Google documents, forms, sheets and applications is a plus.
  • Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter who can manage their time and priorities successfully.
  • Must be collaborative with the ability to work independently.
  • Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner.
  • Must be flexible with the ability to adapt to evolving processes and priorities.
  • Active secret level government clearance or higher required.
