Job Summary:

Responsible for supporting central administrative duties associated with grant and contract management, including activities that support startup and management of research studies. Provide general sponsored project support to principal investigators, study teams, and administrative staff and cultivate relationships with internal staff and external research sponsors.

Job Duties:

  • Assists Principal Investigators (PIs), study teams, and department administrative staff in the preparation, submission, review, and management of sponsored project documents.
  • Promotes collaboration with study teams and assists with managing timelines.
  • Assists grant and contracts team members in updating grant management databases to ensure accurate data input.
  • Creates and maintains monthly/ad hoc reports for department.
  • Supports overall research administration in review of research documents.
  • Provides support to research administration with day-to-day sponsored project management.
  • Assists with the development and organization of training materials for department staff and well as the research enterprise.
  • Serves as a liaison between Geisinger and external sponsors including providing timely responses via phone and email and tracking progress to ensure timely and accurate processing of project related materials as needed.
  • Maintains current knowledge of federal regulations and guidelines of the Department of Health and Human Services, Food and Drug Administration, Good Clinical Practice Guidelines, and the International Conference on Harmonization.
