Your missions

Risk Assurance Officer

Risk Specialist

The role:

We are looking for a Risk Assurance Officer to join our busy and dynamic Assurance team.

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both! We will kit you out to work from home but know that working as a team is what makes us great and spending quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.

Why we need you:

As a member of the Flutter International CLRO Department you will report directly to the Head of Risk Assurance & Reporting. Your key responsibility as part of this team will be providing assurance that the design, implementation and ongoing operation of risk management activities across CLRO and other high risk functions are adequate and effective. In addition you will be involved in:

  • Assist teams with the clear and concise definition of deliverables, including agreed measures of success.

  • Collate and aggregate Divisional reporting that captures and presents all gaming compliance issues across all Brands as reported through compliance monitoring, assurance reports or through regulatory correspondence.

  • Support the Risk Assurance Managers with quality checks, initially for the remediation projects that are under way in the compliance and AML functions, to ensure work is delivered as planned and scoped.

  • Conduct individual player quality assurance checks and report findings.

  • Conduct quality assurance checks for all key compliance, ABC, AML, sanctions, regulatory licensing, safer gambling and other key processes across the Division to help ensure we remain compliant.

  • Monitor efforts to improve the quality of control processes.

  • Support the Risk Assurance team in providing content for risk assurance reports for key stakeholders including management and applicable governance committees to ensure that they are kept fully appraised with progress on remediation projects and the adequacy of business-as-usual processes.

  • Provide support to instil a culture of accuracy and process improvement to ensure practices are fit for purpose.

  • Champion and communicate the value of quality and precision in the operation and development of Flutter’s control processes.

Who we’re looking for

  • A compliance professional or experienced assurance / internal audit professional with at least 2 years’ experience in a publicly listed gaming, financial or technology company.

  • A successful track record of delivery in a compliance function or other applicable background

  • Excellent analytical skills and a drive to understand sophisticated laws and regulations across many jurisdictions.

  • Ability to identify and understand key issues, remove obstacles, and find creative solutions.

  • Highly focused and structured approach to completing tasks within strict deadlines.

  • Tenacity and resourcefulness to follow through and enforce when challenged.

  • Excellent teamwork skills and be confident to communicate with impact and relevance at multiple levels across the organisation.

  • Team driven, with the ability to “lead from the front” and “roll up the sleeves” when needed.

  • Commercially and customer oriented

  • Experience of working in a multi-jurisdictional organisation

  • Data analytics experience would be an advantage, although not essential.

What’s in it for you?

Our experience-based salaries are competitive.

Your package will include:

  • Discretionary annual performance bonus

  • 30 days paid leave

  • Health and dental insurance for you, and 50% coverage for your partner and your children (if you all live at the same address)

  • 26 weeks primary carer leave, and 4 weeks secondary carer leave

  • Social events; including our sensational summer and Christmas parties

  • Online Discount Scheme, including discounted shopping and cinema vouchers.
