As a Senior Project Manager, you will be managing the delivery of complex solutions into the top VMware by Broadcom customers within the UK&I across a variety of industries.
Internally you will work with colleagues across the business from Product and Services sales people, peers within the PS and industry leading technical resources both nearshore and offshore as well as from our trusted subcontracting partners.
What to expect when you join
The first few weeks after joining will be spent following the VMware by Broadcom onboarding process which will ease you into your new environment allowing you to familiarize yourself with the systems and methodology you will be using, any mandatory training and getting to know your peers and other UK&I teams that you will be working and liaising with
You will be allocated a mentor (someone in an equivalent role) that will help you to get up to speed with how PS deliver successful projects. You will then shadow a number of inflight engagements to allow greater familiarisation with the role
After approx. 20-30 days you will start to be allocated your own projects to begin delivering, initially these maybe small projects in order to put in practice the learnings of the previous weeks.
From this point onwards you will be allocated increasing larger/complex projects to manage, you will aim to solidify your knowledge and continue to grow soft skills via the learning platforms made available to you as well as through experiences gained delivering projects
Lead the delivery of complex Cloud projects across the UK&I using Waterfall and Agile project methodologies in fast pace and high pressure project environments
You will take ownership and a proactive lead in understanding the purpose of the projects you are delivering and what success looks like for the customer. You will ensure the project team is aligned with and focused on those outcomes which should be driving adoption and consumption of VMware by Broadcom technology
Proactive and visible leadership of both internal and external stakeholders (C level), forging strong trust based working relationships with our clients, sales team and product business units.
Take responsibility and ownership for all aspects of a project to include the budget, quality management, resource demand forecasting, scope management, planning, reporting and escalation management.
Contribute to the continual improvement of the PS organization by proactively sharing best practice and lessons learned with the PM community and driving positive change.
Support the sales teams in the pursuit of complex projects helping to craft innovative proposals which help secure future business.
Support and mentor junior members of the team, sharing your knowledge and experience to support their development needs
Be a critical thinker and problem solver who is comfortable challenging assumptions, asking questions and makes decisions as well as finding the not so obvious answers by leveraging subject matter experts.
Inevitably on larger complex projects things don’t always progress smoothly so you will need to be experienced and composed in navigating a project though a crisis, project recovery or client escalation.
You will be expected to travel up to 60% of the time across UK and Ireland as the business requires.

Flexible: The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined by your manager. You will be expected to live within a reasonable non-daily commute of the office.
Remote: This role is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the location you feel most productive and comfortable.
