We're looking for an independent publisher with an entrepreneurial spirit to cover the Arizona Cardinals through online articles, videos, audio, and social media for passionate fans. As a publisher, you'll create engaging content that highlights team performances, player profiles, game analyses, and fan experiences primarily through breaking news stories. Your role will involve breaking news, writing articles, managing social media platforms, and promoting your content to reach a wider audience. We're seeking someone with a passion for sports journalism, strong writing skills, social media savvy, and the ability to work independently and build a thriving business. The Arena Group’s expected pay range for this position is currently $25 dollars per article, plus generous performance bonuses that range between $5 and $10 per 1000 pageviews based on traffic source and what quarter the revenue is earned.

What You’ll Do:

• Operate the Arizona Cardinals team site.

• Write breaking news stories covering the Arizona Cardinals.

• Create videos covering the Arizona Cardinals.

• Engage Cardinal fans through comments, community and social media.

What You’ll Bring:

• Two to five years of experience covering a college or professional sports team.

• Excel in various types of storytelling (breaking news, analysis, rankings, predictions, grades, video, social and audio).

• Have a knowledgeable understanding of NFL Football concepts and an ability to explain them to fans of different levels.

• Ability to write provocative headlines that adhere to SEO and Google Discover best practices.

• Demonstrate solid grammatical and spelling skills, as well as an understanding of AP style.
