We are growing at Curtiss Wright! Our Manufacturing group is looking to expand and hire a Manufacturing Engineer for our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) team.

Your Responsibilities:

Will assist with design, integration, or improvement of manufacturing systems and processes. While working with others on the team to develop efficient systems, processes and tooling resulting in high-quality products. To learn and understand the capabilities of our production processes and products while making improvement recommendations to our manufacturing processes that will increase efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.

Your Challenge:

  • Position will be involved with planning, coordinating, and assisting with complex manufacturing engineering activities such as routine operational or methods analyses.  Analyses will be related to labor standards, reviews product/project flow data, tooling, equipment, and labor requirements used in conducting manufacturing operations to increase productivity and reduce production unit cost. Will assist team in creating documentation, reports, publications, and making presentations.
  • Perform operational and methods analyses for manufacturing process flow and work instruction. Assist with operational or methods analyses related to labor standards for use in conducting manufacturing operations.
  • Will interface with other engineering teams to coordinate new and existing product release. Including conducting review of engineering drawings, and evaluation of engineering changes prior to release.
  • Assist with Design of Experiments (DOE), analyses, data collection and interpretation to support investigations and problem resolutions. Maintain manufacturing standard procedures, which defines specific manufacturing processes. Assist writing analysis and test reports.
  • Must be comfortable acting as technical liaison with other teams like design, quality, procurement, inspection, and production. Actively interact in team meetings by listening and asking questions. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related degree
  • Ideally 3+ years of experience
  • Previous work with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is desired
  • Ability to create models and drawings, present design reviews, for trade studies and design reviews.
  • Be comfortable coordinating multiple project responsibilities.
  • Must be a team player and have knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to perform analysis and studies with strong attention to details in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be US sole citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
