We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior AWS DevSecOps Engineer. To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed; and meet the education and work experience required. 

Required Skills and Technologies:   

  • Strong grasp of DevSecOps best practices including SRE playbook, deployment strategies such as zero downtime, blue/green, canary, continuous delivery & deployment, etc., containerization, GitOps concepts, GitHub Actions
  • Experience implementing and maintaining scalable, multistage CI/CD pipelines integrating SAST/DAST security tools, scanning tools, both on-prem and in cloud environments
  • Experience maintaining and monitoring mission-critical systems, both on-prem and in the cloud
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps toolchain and technologies including Jenkins, Git, GitHub, Maven, Gradle, SonarQube, Prometheus, Grafana, Infrastructure as Code technologies (e.g., Terraform), APM tools (e.g., NewRelic), log management tool (e.g., Splunk), containerization technologies and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Rancher, etc.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with different stakeholders (both technical and non-technical) and provide solutions and presentations as needed
  • Experience deploying, maintaining, monitoring mission-critical applications in AWS cloud environment
  • Strong Knowledge of AWS cloud architecture concepts (VPCs, subnets, load balancers, WAF, roles, groups, policies)
  • Experience using AWS cloud services including IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Route53, ECR, ECS, SQS, MSK, EKS, KMS, GuardDuty, Inspector, Organization....
  • Strong grasp of Linux OS; extensive experience configuring, patching, and managing various flavors of Linux
  • Extensive hands-on scripting experience to automate processes using scripting languages such as Bash Shell, PowerShell, Python+Boto3, AWS CLI, etc.
  • Familiarity with Java microservices, NodeJS
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging systems in production
  • Good understanding of security principles including awareness of FISMA, FedRAMP, DISA STIG processes is a plus
  • AWS DevSecOps certification is a plus.

Qualifications:   

  • Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or similar field; or comparable experience  
  • U.S. Citizen 
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
