Leidos QTC Health Services is seeking an Intern to support our growing Corporate Information Security (CIS) team.

This position will be a remote full time position as a summer intern. Part time during school months if desired.

As part of this role, you will be given tasks that are essential for the successful detection and remediation of cybersecurity vulnerabilities on the Leidos QTC Health Services Enterprise. This internship is designed to give you practical experience, and Leidos QTC Health Services will provide you with real-world experience, technical guidance, and career mentorship throughout your internship. As a member of the CIS Cybersecurity Vulnerability Management (VM) team, your responsibilities will support the vulnerability manager and senior vulnerability analysts charged with protecting information systems critical to the QTC CIS mission. **

Responsibilities**

Support the CIS Operations vulnerability manager and team throughout the VM lifecycle, tailoring an intern’s position to their individual strengths and experience to include:

  • Assisting in the creation of clear and comprehensive documentation, including vulnerability reports, operating procedures, work instructions, and guides to support the VM mission
  • Collaborate with other member of the CIS team to include Engineers, Endpoint Security SMEs, and CSIRT to understand and document processes, workflows, and requirements.
  • Review vulnerability scan reports, and industry threat intelligence to support in prioritizing vulnerability remediation.
  • Research to gather technical knowledge of the cybersecurity technical tools and capabilities and apply that knowledge with hands on training with subject matter experts.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree
  • Must be an enthusiastic and proactive learner with a passion for technology and cybersecurity processes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency with operating systems such as Windows, Linux etc. is a plus
  • Basic understanding of networking protocols is a plus
  • Knowledge of current cybersecurity threats, such as malware, phishing, ransomware etc.
  • Must be willing to take and pass the CompTIA security plus certification exam within 6 months of your internship (Training and exam cost provided)

Pay Range

Freshman/Sophomore: $23 per hour

Junior/Senior: $30 per hour
