Your missions

Aledade is looking for a Director of Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting to lead a team responsible for external financial reporting, internal reporting, and technical accounting. The Director of Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting will be responsible for the preparation of US GAAP financials, with anticipated Form 10-K/10-Q in the future.  The Director will collaborate closely across internal departments within Aledade to ensure accuracy,  completeness and timeliness of reporting of our financial results.  In this role you will monitor current activity of the FASB, SEC and other relevant authoritative bodies to identify impacts of new pronouncements and comment letters on the Aledade’s accounting policies and financial statement disclosures while researching US GAAP, documenting thorough analysis and accounting treatment conclusions for technical accounting matters including revenue recognition, share-based compensation and other complex accounting topics and non-routine areas.

We are flexible with respect to geographic location, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely/work from home within the U.S. or from our headquarters office in Bethesda, MD.


Key responsibilities:
  • Lead the financial reporting process
  • Facilitate the review of financial statements with external auditors, the Executive Leadership Team, the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and other operational leaders as needed
  • Drive the technical accounting research, analysis, documentation, and enablement of significant or complex accounting matters
  • Oversee the preparation of accounting entries for complex matters, including but not limited to revenue recognition, acquisition accounting and stock compensation expense
  • Work with auditors to coordinate the quarterly reviews and the annual audit 
  • Ensure effective controls around the SEC reporting, internal reporting and technical accounting process
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships and serve as a key business partner to ensure that all transactions are properly reflected in the financial statements
  • Lead the implementation of process and/or system improvements related to reporting and technical accounting as needed

  • You’ll need to have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA and or public accounting experience required
  • 12+ years of relevant accounting and reporting experience
  • Proficient technical accounting skills and thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting
  • Experience with the application and adoption of new accounting standards
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and consistency in preparing work
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative skills and accounting research skills
  • Experience leading significant business process changes
  • Able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
