Seize this opportunity and support our Product Lifecyle Management Team preferably in Berlin or Munich or at one of our locations or remotely across Germany, starting immediately in full-time as Senior Fullstack Engineer – Technical Lead (m/f/d).

As a Technical Lead at IU, you're at the heart of our cross-functional product teams, steering the technical direction and execution of projects. Reporting straight to the Head of Engineering, your primary focus lies in tackling complex technical challenges, utilising your advanced technical expertise to boost the team's effectiveness. You will work closely with the Product Owner and Business Analyst to translate product requirements into effective technical solutions that hit our OKRs.

A significant portion of your role involves nurturing a culture of technical mentorship, conducting comprehensive code reviews, and upholding firm solution architecture. In line with IU's customer-centric strategy, you're instrumental in bringing maximum business value to our customers and fostering an atmosphere of continuous experimentation and learning within the team. Collaborating with the Head of Engineering in your cluster, you'll make sure the team's technical guidelines mesh with our broader tech strategy. 

Your tasks 

• Collaborate with the Product Owner and Business Analyst in your team to understand product requirements and translate them into robust, scalable solution architectures.

• Uphold high coding standards through conducting regular code reviews, ensuring the team's output is consistently of top quality.

• Handle the most complex and critical issues within the team to deliver maximized business value.

• Promote a culture of delivering high-quality, customer-centric solutions, driving continuous experimentation and learning in the team.

• Provide technical mentorship to other team members, guiding them through complex problems, promoting their technical growth, and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the team.

• Provide feedback and guidance on improving coding practices within the team, addressing any code-related issues promptly and effectively.

• Ensure alignment of technical solutions with overall product strategy, maximizing the business value delivered to our customers.

Your profile 

• You have several years of experience in software development, with substantial time spent in a senior role.

• You possess a deep understanding of our technical stack, which includes Symfony 6+ / Laravel with Modern PHP (v8+), and cloud-first approach with Amazon Web Services. Knowledge of Domain Driven Design and Event-Driven Architecture is also expected. Familiarity with NestJS/VueJS and TypeScript would be advantageous.

• You have a history of leading technical decisions and projects, consistently meeting business objectives and adhering to timelines.

• Your knowledge of efficient software development methodologies and best practices is demonstrated, including their successful implementation.

• You have a solid understanding and practical experience with Agile methodologies and Lean practices.

• Your strong communication and collaboration skills enable effective interaction with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• You are eager about continuous learning and have demonstrated the ability to foster technical excellence within the team.
