Job description

Our client is a rapidly growing biotech company specializing in the development of diagnostic tests for the early detection of pervasive and progressive neurodegenerative diseases. As pioneers in their field, they are committed to making a significant impact on healthcare by advancing diagnostic solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy for the Diagnostics division, aligning with company goals and objectives.
  • Identify and target potential clients within the healthcare industry, including diagnostic laboratories, hospitals, and healthcare providers.
  • Our client is a rapidly growing biotech company specializing in the development of diagnostic tests for the early detection of pervasive and progressive neurodegenerative diseases. As pioneers in their field, they are committed to making a significant impact on healthcare by advancing diagnostic solutions
  • Our client is seeking their first Vice President of Business Development & Commercial Operations to lead their business development efforts in the United States. This individual will play a critical role in establishing and expanding the company's presence in the market. Initially, the VP of Business Development will be expected to be hands-on due to the startup nature of the role. There is a clear path for this position to transition into a Chief Operating Officer (COO) role within the next year as the team grows.
  • Support fundraising rounds and investor relations.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in business development within the biotech or healthcare industry, preferably with experience in diagnostic test development.
  • Extensive network within the industry and deep knowledge of diagnostic testing for neurodegenerative diseases.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a startup environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, advanced degree preferred.
