Your missions

About the Company
Forge Recruitment is currently partnered with our client, a Personal Injury boutique firm located in Toronto, in the search of an Associate to join their Personal Injury Practice Group.

Responsibilities

Draft Mediation Memoranda, Pre-Trial Memoranda, and Case Conference Summaries;
Draft court documents including motion materials, factums, and pleadings;
Prepare file review memos and settlement proposals;
Attend motions and trial scheduling court hearings;
Attend examinations for discoveries and case conferences;
Participate in trial preparation;
Participate in regular file reviews to effectively plan and manage each case;
Provide research to lawyers;
Conduct witness interviews;
Conduct new client interviews; and
Prepare clients for Examination Under Oath, Medical Examinations, Discoveries, and Case Conferences

Qualifications

Member in good standing with LSO;
Solid knowledge and interest in personal injury law;
Able to provide exceptional client service; excellent people and communication skills to build good working relationships with clients;
Able to prioritize effectively while paying attention to detail;
Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a dynamic working environment;
Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting;
Srategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving ability;
Superior attention to detail and organization;
Ability to independently research and analyze applicable law and matters;
Persuasive writer with ability to evaluate and assess issues; and
Strong work ethic, initiative, and accountability.
