Project Manager (Chapter Planting)

To advance the purpose of InterVarsity, the position will provide efficient project management (PM) and development of projects/programs, as assigned.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Personal:
• Be a maturing disciple of Jesus Christ: growing in love for God, God's Word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture, and God's purposes in the world
• Be a lifelong learner who prizes the discipleship of the mind; particularly staying current on issues of project management, process improvement, and business practices within ministry
Provide project management support through planning, developing and evaluating projects:
• Develop and oversee projects as assigned, including coordination of project work with intradepartmental colleagues and, as necessary, those outside the department
• Work closely with the PMO to accelerate the ministry of InterVarsity by providing excellent project delivery
• Deliver projects on-time, on-scope, and on-budget deliveries
• Document preparation and content management
• Participate in the creation and maintenance of project management resources as assigned
• Report metrics and project tracking data to PMO on an on-going basis
Partnership and collaboration:
• Participate in meetings within functional department, as well as interdepartmental meetings in the broader InterVarsity community upon request
• High-level of collaboration with cross-functional team members or leaders
• Assist in ensuring adherence to national policies, procedures, and reporting requirements
• Be a Project Management ambassador across organization, always looking for opportunities to learn PM best practices
• Senior roles will provide mentorship to other project management staff
• Matrix or direct reporting to Program Management Office (depending on functional area assignment)
• Involvement in project management co-cohort is required for most positions
Fund Development and Public Relations:
• Develop and maintain personal funding base
• Establish and nurture ministry partner relationships through visits, phone calls and regular prayer and thank you letters
• Annually raise agreed upon budget
Pay Range: $22.90 - $30.53 per hour
Pay: This position is funded through personal fundraising. Accordingly, compensation will vary based on the ability of the individual to secure a donor team to fund the cost of his/her salary. The anticipated salary range for this position on a full-time basis (40 hours/week) is dependent on a variety of factors, including location and cost of living. The actual salary received, including any geographic adjustment to account for location and cost of living, is subject to the individual’s ability to raise funds necessary to cover the full amount of such salary within the range set forth in the job posting details.
