Senior Energy Study Engineer - Full-time, permanent position - Must reside in the province of British Columbia OR Alberta - EGBC P. Eng designation required - Remote position with required travel within BC and AB

They specialize in designing state-of-the-art energy recovery systems that help to reduce carbon emissions.

What you’ll be doingAs the new Senior Energy Study Engineer , you’ll lead the grant team of energy study engineers to help tackle energy recovery projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. You’ll lead the energy study team to perform energy audits, create detailed energy models, and write reports. You’ll supervise technical reports and energy modeling.

Specifically, you will be - Working with clients onsite in BC and AB to gather information and determine the best path to reducing carbon emissions - Working with junior engineers to develop detailed engineering models - Reviewing CleanBC and Fortis energy study reports - Stamping CleanBC and Fortis energy study report - Working with junior engineers to create 2D CAD models to create a visual representation of the system - Working with manufacturers to understand the performance specifications of equipment in the system - Working on calculations to outline the performance of the system - Working with contractors to obtain pricing and explaining system specifications - Making presentations - Helping clients onsite

The DetailsThis is a full-time permanent position. You’ll work remotely from a home office and will be expected to travel within British Columbia & Alberta for approximately 1 trip every month with an overnight stay. In addition to a competitive base salary in the range of $100,000.00 - $145,000.00/year (commensurate with experience), you’ll also enjoy a benefits package, and vacation and will be eligible to take place in the company ownership model, which will allow you to reap the rewards of your hard work.The best in this role has a personal passion for teamwork, quality technical work, and greenhouse gas reduction.

Qualifications - EGBC P. Eng - 5+ years of experience working with spreadsheet-based energy modeling projects - Experience with CleanBC and Fortis DSM program (MUST have) - Skills or experience relevant to the feasibility assessment of mechanical retrofits in existing buildings - Residence in BC or Alberta, Canada.

Preference given to candidates who also have - APEGA P. Eng - Experience with BC Hydro's DMS program - Sales experience for engineering services - Project or Team leadership experience - Refrigeration or heat pump knowledge and experience - Mechanical HVAC design/control/analysis experience - Building Automation System (BAS, DDC) experience - Residence in/near Victoria or Vancouver, BC
