Forbes Advisor is a new initiative for consumers under the Forbes Marketplace umbrella that provides journalist- and expert-written insights, news and reviews on all things personal finance, health, business, and everyday life decisions.  We do this by providing consumers with the knowledge and research they need to make informed decisions they can feel confident in, so they can get back to doing the things they care about most.

 

The Director Revenue Operations is a critical role that involves managing the onboarding and auditing of partners, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing revenue streams. This role requires close collaboration with Data Strategy, SEM, and Business Development teams, external partners, and reports to the Senior Director of Revenue Operations.

 

 

     

     

      Job Description

      Responsibilities: 

      1. Partner Onboarding and Auditing
        1. Manage the onboarding process for new partners through our CMS and with working closely with 3rd parties and internal teams. 
        2. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and data integrity.
        3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to incorrect data implementation and tracking.
      2. Data Integrity and Analytics
        1. Collaborate with Data Strategy and SEM teams to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
        2. Use analytics tools to monitor key performance indicators and identify optimization opportunities.
      3. Revenue Attribution
        1. Analyze data and work with SEM, Digital Experiences, Data & Analytics, and Business Development teams to optimize data pipeline issues and with the goal of fueling revenue growth.
        2. Manage dashboards and build revenue forecasts so teams can easily understand business health and meet goals
      4. Reporting and Q&A
        1. Generate weekly/monthly/quarterly performance reports and present insights to senior management and update existing reports to show progress of work and value to the business.
        2. Oversee systems and data administration and recommend tools to improve data quality, analysis, and reporting 
        3. Address queries from various departments, including but not limited to Data Strategy, SEM, Digital Operations, SEO and Business Development.
      5. Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration
        1. Partner with leadership to strategize, operationalize, and analyze the impact of business initiatives.
        2. Serve as the liaison between partners, internal teams, and senior management.
        3. Facilitate effective communication and project updates among all stakeholders.

       

      Requirements:

      A minimum of 12+ years of experience.

      1. Team Collaboration

      1. Work closely with SEM and Business Development teams to align on key initiatives and strategies of the onboarding of new partners. 
      2. Drive projects that integrate SEM, SEO, CRM and Business Development objectives into revenue operations.

      2. Issue Identification and Troubleshooting

      1. Regularly review data projects and partner tracking to identify and correct issues, discrepancies, or wrong implementations.
      2. Collaborate with technical and SEM teams for timely issue resolution. 


       

      3.  Managing and optimizing affiliate relationships: 

      Through platforms such as Share A Sale, Commission Junction, Impact, Rakuten, and Partnerize. This includes:

      1. Platform Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to navigate and leverage the features of various affiliate platforms to maximize partnership opportunities and revenue generation. This includes setting up affiliate programs, tracking and analyzing performance data, and managing payouts.

      4. Training and Support: Ability to provide training and support to internal teams on how to effectively use these platforms for affiliate marketing. This includes creating guidelines, best practices, and sharing insights on how to maximize the potential of affiliate partnerships.

        Qualifications

        Qualifications:

        • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
        • Minimum of 7 years' experience in revenue operations, SEM, SEO, Affiliate & related roles.
        • Proficiency in CMS, data analytics tools, and CRO methodologies.
        • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
        • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
