Job description

Federal Financial Modeler with five years of experience in a Federal Pricing Role REMOTE

As a Federal Financial Modeler, you will be involved in all aspects of government and commercial pricing and contracts, including writing pricing volumes and reporting for existing contracts. The Federal Financial Modeler will also be responsible for building pricing volumes and pricing build-outs for responses to US Public Sector and Commercial solicitations. You will have outstanding, up-to-date, expertise in MS Excel to build, develop, and maintain complex pricing and financial models and integrate them with other technologies.

Responsibilities - Make pricing recommendations on all Business Opportunities. - Work with the Business Development team to do market analysis by participating in the financial review of new markets at the pre-RFP stage. - Provide guidance to the Business Development team to facilitate a better understanding of the financial impacts and sensitivities of specific opportunities (e.g., the impact of pursuing specific new markets and targeting certain clients, etc.) - Use Excel to quickly produce high-quality spreadsheets and reports in support of the Business Development and Delivery Operations departments. - Develop pricing for proposal submissions by working closely with the capture manager, technical team, and proposal manager. - Manage the distribution of pricing data calls to subcontractors, where appropriate, and respond to pricing data calls by prime contractors. - Work as an integral part of the capture/proposal team, assisting in the development of pricing strategies, identifying risks, and interpreting solicitation requirements. - Acts as the cost proposal volume manager. - Prepare fully compliant cost proposals in accordance with Request for Proposal (RFP) and internal requirements. - Complete Pricing Analysis, competitor pricing analysis, and Salary Survey Research. - Act as the central point of contact between teaming partners for all Pricing related items. - Update pricing resources to ensure up-to-date information is presented in cost proposals. - Assist new partners with their preparation of government submission documents. - Handle all cost proposals that include sensitive financial information. - Ensure that proposals comply with Procurement requirements, laws, and internal OSC Edge policies. - Provide regular pricing status updates to the COO, CFO, and VP, of Sales and Growth as appropriate. - Partner with key staff members to ensure competitive proposal development/submissions. - Perform business analysis and prepare recommendations and business plans as needed. - Create and analyze relevant information and develop recommendations that they present to senior management. - Utilize the appropriate technologies and ensure that customers have the solutions they need, when they need them, and in the media best suited to their requirements. - Performs other tasks as required by the OSC office.

Required Qualifications/Education and Experience - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Pricing role. - Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Quantitative Analysis, or Business, or an additional 4 years equivalent experience. - Outstanding, up-to-date, Excel skills, including the use of charts, macros, and VBA. - Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and a solid understanding of financial analysis terminologies and best practices, such as indirects and financial statements. - Proficiency in understanding RFPs, RFQ’s and other solicitations. - Knowledge of government contract interpretation. - Strong ability to read and analyze financials and develop wrap rates. - Strong ability to work independently and in a proactive manner. - Expert understanding of Labor Categories and their descriptions. - Ability to multi-task and assist with schedule prioritization. - Ability to analyze unique contractual situations. - Ability to create appropriate contractual documents. - Excellent time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
