We are looking for individuals to join us in our pursuit of equity.The PersonOneGoal is seeking a Product Manager to serve at the intersection of the OneGoal Product team, other internal/external stakeholders and the Engineering team to work truly in a cross functional environment. In this role, you will be working to translate requirements into user stories for technical development for custom software products, as well as off-the-shelf software product integrations. The Product Manager will ensure that the needs of OneGoal’s stakeholders (Fellows (students), Program Directors (teachers), School Districts, and Staff) are being met by writing the requirements for new features.The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, demonstrated experience in technical requirements writing, experience troubleshooting and testing, a customer-service orientation, and a commitment to thorough documentation. Being analytically minded, detail oriented, and passionate about improving systems to improve the experience for OneGoal’s fellows is critical for this role.You will do this by: - Manage the product life cycle from inception to launch and beyond, acting as a hub with all teams both internal and external - Proactively seeking to understand each program or business division’s objectives and how they fit into the overall business and technical strategy - Interviewing internal stakeholders to gather information on their needs and preferences and use this information to make recommendations for best fit solutions that will meet the needs of the stakeholders while being a practical and stable investment for OneGoal - Understanding how the program or business objectives intersects with technology and helping translate those objectives into business and functional requirements - Translating UX workflows, UX wireframes, and UI designs into functional and technical requirements - Facilitating technology discussions between engineering teams and business stakeholders regarding optimizing technical solutions, as well as negotiating schedule changes and understanding priority as needs arise during agile development - Communicating how requirements fit into development milestones and software releases a part of managing a larger roadmap - Supporting product owners, UI/UX, and QA by helping to manage the backlog of requirements in the form of user stories - Developing, documenting, and executing use cases, scripts, and procedures for product features - Monitoring post-production processes to ensure accurate completion of all deployments - Identify existing gaps, optimizations, and future opportunities for the product by collaborating with our User Support Coordinator to have a deep understanding of current user issues and user desires
Qualifications: - 2+ years of experience with requirements elicitation, and business and/or functional requirement writing in an Agile environment - 1+ years of experience supporting product customizations and integrations with CRM systems such as Salesforce, and with CMS systems either off the shelf or custom built in-house - Experience working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders and communities across diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds - Experience in writing detailed documentation so that is can be easily understood by all stakeholders technical and non-technical - Experience working with third party vendors with an understanding of systems integration - Experience using work tracking systems: bug, user request (e.g. JIRA, Monday, Asana, Zendesk) - Understanding of how back-end and web-based systems interface with each other - Understanding of the software development life cycle; agile is our current methodology - Experience working with data visualizations and BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau - Curious, insightful and innovative with a natural bias for action, thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment - Willingness to travel once a quarter for stepbacks and other product related events - Academic or continuing professional study in Computer Science related fields, including AI/Machine Learning, and big data ( Preferred ) - MBA or any business related background ( Preferred ) - Lived experience of the Students we serve (Preferred)
