Job Description:

The LSU Law Center seeks to hire an adjunct faculty member to teach the Transactional Practice class.

The Transactional Practice course is an experiential simulation course that is designed to provide students with a broad commercial transaction based experience.  The course will place an emphasis on structuring business deals and the formulation and drafting of business contracts and related documents.  Students will have the opportunity to explore the ways in which legal issues and business objectives overlap, and the roles played by lawyers engaged in transactional representation.  Student swill also learn and develop the soft skills needed to deliver meaningful and ethical advice to clients.  This course is designed to broaden the student’s knowledge in a number of transactional areas, and help students learn to focus on the intersection of the client’s business objectives and the law.  This course is graded Pass/Fail.  
Credits: 2.

Education/experience requirement: Master's, PhD, or Juris Doctor degree (or international equivalent) from an ABA-accredited law school. Applicants should have superior academic credentials and three years of relevant experience required.
